Resumo: This dissertation proposed to investigate the strategies mobilized for the formation of teachers, within the scope of the educational project of the Military State, between 1970 and 1980, through the analysis of educational legislation; Document of the Normal School of Uberlândia, as internal regiment and interviews with former teachers; well study of broad theoretical reference on the subject on screen. All this documentary scope and theoretical reference is intended to understand the dynamics that guided the process of organization of teacher training in the municipality, considering the social, economic, political and educational characteristics of the period. Thus, the opening of the "black box" of the military dictatorship allows us to advance historiographically, to leave the denunciation phase and to explore what has been produced, providing the necessary criticism. Educational projects and school institutions deserve our attention, especially when they become the subject and object of study. In this context, and based on the theoretical reference and the documentary data, we can say that, in front of the Normal School, there was a need to train teachers, given the exponential growth of the city at the time, with the difficulties of establishing and consolidating as an institution capable of To attend the educational project of the Military State. However, what we can identify was actions marked by the incoherence between the defense of values of a modern society in an environment of rapid transformation, from an agrarian to an urban society, that is, a context already characterized by the expansion and demand of schools and consequence, by the agents who would act on them: teachers. Hence the importance and relevance of researching the Normal School of Uberlândia.
