The present work aims to reflect on the contributions that an exhibition by a virtual museum can bring to the public debate about the historical negationism of Afro-Brazilian slavery. For such purpose, the existence of negationist discourses on the subject is investigated in the works O Guia Politicamente Incorreto da História do Brasil (2009), by journalist Leandro Narloch, and Brasil: A Última Cruzada (2017), by the company Brasil Paralelo. It mobilizes, for such critical analysis, several authors linked to the fields of Theory of History, History of the Present Time, Public History and History Didactics. Both in the written part of the work and in the propositional component (the virtual exhibition), the objective is not only to identify the falsifications of the past, but to seek to understand the possible motivations behind these past abuses. In this sense, the aim is to explain to the public the unsustainability of these discourses, as well as their damage to the historical consciousness of our society.
