Resumo:	This work aims to perform a comparative study between literature and cinema, trying to think on the process of transposition from literature into the language of the cinema. As corpus of this research, we have chosen the theatrical literary text Lisbela e o Prisioneiro by Osman Lins, written in 1961, and the homonymous film. The movie was directed by Guel Arraes in 2003. In the comparative analysis of such works we try to identify and analyze the transformations that the text is put through concerning its adaption because of the change of support and its different contexts, ways of production and audience.
