Resumo: This paper is an overview on the process of outsourcing of technical and administrative staff in the education of Federal Institutions of Higher Education and the impact of this process on precarious work, for the period 2010 through 2014. The specific object of the study was the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. The theoretical framework discussed rests on the categories of work and labor force present in Marxist theory, and its precarious process that shows intrinsic to the capitalist mode of production. The hypothesis discussed in this paper deals with how outsourcing, which becomes relevant from the flexible accumulation and the process of internationalization of the labor market, is presented as a specific form of capital\'s response to its crises, which implies flexibility and precariousness of labor and worker\'s quality of life. Finally, it was discussed how outsourcing work force becomes the private sector to the public sector, reaching the specific object that this work aims to use - outsourcing in Federal Institutions of Higher Education and its impact on the lives of their workers. The methodology used was the literature on the outsourcing process in Brazil and particularly in Federal Institutions of Higher Education, associated with data analysis raised about the process of outsourcing of technical and administrative staff in education at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Thus it can be seen as the process of outsourcing has led to the gradual deterioration of the quality of work, a worker\'s life and its forms of organization and mobilization as a class.
