Resumo: It concers the communication of the results achieved in the investigation on the History of Educational Institutions area. The institution in question is the State School of Uberlândia, located in Uberlândia, MG. This research had the purpose to analyse the History of the State School of Uberlândia from the social representations built around itself in the city and region from 1929 to 1950. During this investigation it was consulted the nacional and internacional bibliography on this topic, the documents of the amount of the school, as well as the seasons newspapers, photographs and documents of the municipal public file. Besides that, it's good to emphasize the importance of the statements that were gather from former students and former teachers of the school, among others. The results achieved showed that the social representations built around the State School in Uberlândia had given centralness to this institution in the city and in Triângulo Mineiro area, which contributed to legitimate its departures as future leaders of public and private sectors. Besides, it was possible to apprehend the conservative and traditional dimension of the school, with the appreciation of the country and the discipline as spirits modelling given to the action of the gifted teachers to the educational mission. This way, it could be realized the distance from the existent system of political and social ideas at school with regard to that extoled by the moviment that used to influence educational improvements betweem the periods 1929 and 1950.
