Resumo: | One of the roles of literature in society is to reflectively represent everyday facts, breaking paradigms, reassessing values and subverting stereotypes. Therefore, this art needs constant innovation, as it is necessary to adapt to the time and space inserted, using its main tool: the text, whether in the traditional style or in new construction models. The short short stories, for example, is a literary form that tries to keep up with today's fast pace, and has been increasingly used by contemporary authors. Marina Colasanti is the Brazilian author whose literary characteristic is the writing of short short stories, a fact evidenced in the various collections published throughout her trajectory, with the book Hora de alimentar serpentes (2013) being her most recent work, gathering texts in this format. That said, the research in question intends to analyze the importance of short short stories as a genre within postmodern literature, to investigate the importance of the author as a pioneer writer of this type of narrative, as well as to prove how much short short stories are able to represent, in its narratives, social aspects in a poetic way. To understand how the texts fit into the post-modern literature, a study of the theories was made, starting from the conception of what is the modern, through the theories of Baudelaire (2006), passing through the post-modernist conceptions of Hutcheon (1991), until arriving at the concepts of contemporaneity outlined by Agamben (2009). Then, a survey of the main academic works on the research of short short stories was carried out, with the aim of proving the relevance of the short narrative as an independent literary category, and also reaffirming the importance of Colasanti as a precursor of this way of narrating. Furthermore, it was sought in the theories of Iser (1999), Dantas (1979), Bakhtin (2009), Jenny (1979), among others, to understand how the different processes of interaction between text and reader happen, and how much intertextuality contributes to highlight the relationship between short short stories and society.FREITAS |
