Resumo: | The proposal of the presented work is in the study of the interaction between anonymous elderly subjects and the researcher through visual arts representation techniques (drawing – as a translative and expressive resource); interviews and observations of behavior modes (ethnographic approach). We thought about the involved subjects as “characters” that inhabit the public spaces of the squares – places where many elderly get together and socialize. From stimulus to the beginning of a conversation, the elderly begin to narrate their experiences through the constructed memory, to be plastically captured through the drawing. By means of the components of this language, there is a try to experiment the translation of a lived memory, perceiving the relation constructed between the subjects that on the first moment are strangers to each other, but from the moment that they begin to exchange experiences in a transmission act of memory and translation of one language to another, they start to realize themselves and find themselves on the same history. The oral language and the contact with older people are taken as a starting point for this practice. The artistic experience focalize the necessity to consider the pleasure and the satisfaction involved in this experience, whose impulse is given by the context in what the individual is inserted. There is the pleasure of the artist in contemplate the urban space, following its transformation by the pace that governs it. Pleasure in the dialogue established between two unknown persons, who will discover and interconnect stories. Satisfaction in offering to listen and this act become meaningful to the other, to the point to see him smile. And in addition, connected to all these pleasures, is added the experience of drawing, which becomes unique for the involved subjects. |
