Resumo: | This research is analyzed in the Street vending of food in the center of Uberlandia (Minas Gerais). To achieve this goal it was necessary dialogue with various themes of geographical Science and also as the urban context and the processes of formation of cities and trade, the advent of urbanization and current spaces globalization period. Commercial forms identified in the cities are the result of several existing forces in society. Urban space, and consequently the urban landscape, reflects the action of the elements that act on it and also those who worked in the past. The street food trade, as an existing commercial form since the beginning of trade itself, historically developed in parallel with the cities. The street act as an important supply links urban centers with basic or specific foodstuffs. However, there is lack of a precise definition of this type of trade, as street vendors and informal street are commonly considered as synonyms, all of which fall within the lower circuit of the urban economy. Because of this difficulty in conceptualizing problems occur for the systematization and especially to regularize these workers. Uberlandia in the itinerant trade has developed in parallel with the city, helping to supply the same with various kinds of products and acting in places and situations where formal trade can not enter. Food always has been an important part of this type of activity in the city. With the accelerated process of urbanization, changes in the production process and local economies and a national, the city goes through several transformations, and the itinerant trade served as a cooling factor in unemployment in times of economic crises and an important source of income for significant portion of the population. These issues generate a series of problems and possible approaches regarding the work of street food in Uberlandia, and the use and occupation of public spaces for these workers is one of the main discussion issues about this business arrangement today. |
