Resumo: | This study presents a Master's research developed in the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at the Federal University of Uberlândia, which aims to answer the following question: What knowledge about fraction are presented by elementary school students when building instruments musicals in math classes? The main objective was to analyze what is the knowledge about fraction that two students of the 8th year of Elementary School present during the construction of musical instruments. The work was configured in the development of a proposal based on Problem Solving, through a Comics, from the construction of the following musical instruments: Ganzá, Pífano, Pau de Chuva and Pan Flute. Given the context of the pandemic experienced in the years 2020 and 2021, the proposal was carried out in person, with two students invited by the researcher. The research analysis was based on the students' dialogues with the researcher and it was noticed that the students needed to review their knowledge about fraction and from the proposal that was developed, it was possible to work on fraction meanings such as measurement and division, in addition to enabling a dialogue about the records of the fraction as a decimal number and as a percentage Based on the movement of this research, a didactic unit was prepared as an educational product with proposals, which aim to explore the concept of fraction from the construction of musical instruments and some basics about music. It is hoped that this work can encourage other teachers to seek ways to carry out actions when teaching that allow the rediscovery of the essential elements of the fraction from the relationship with music. |
