Resumo: | The theme of this research is the poetics of embroidery : interculturality and identity in the teaching of visual arts. In order to carry out this study, the childbirth of memories, from the childhood of the experiments and is based on the theories of Ivone Richter, Ana Mae Barbosa, John Dewey, Nestor Canclini,Stuart Hall, Milton Benett, Jorge Larossa Bondia, Jean Clandinin and Michel Conelly. based on a qualitative research strategy, phenomenological of exploratory character, through the following steps: - Field research and narrative to know the experiences and knowledge about traditional embroidery with the Dumont family of Pirapora-MG; a netnography to meet contemporary artists who use the embroidery in their poetics, such as Arthur Bispo do Rosário, José Leonilson, Edith Derdyk, and an action research in the production of workshops with children from six to 9 years, for discussion and experience with the embroidery. The research object starts from the experience with a workshop embroidered with students from the first years of elementary school in the following perspective:what are the potentialities of embroidery as a daily aesthetic reference in the construction of intercultural and identity reflections with The purpose of this article is to construct narrative reflections about an experience of teaching in the visual arts, with students from the first years of elementary education, in which the poetics of embroidery as a daily and cultural aesthetic construct an intercultural and identity perception of the learner. he objectives of this study are: To map, select and investigate the production of embroiderers and contemporary artists who dialogue with the language of embroidery in their works for the construction of a planning of teaching of visual arts intercultural and identity and analyze in a critical and reflective manner, the aesthetic and cultural references of the embroidery selected and worked through art workshops. I investigated the process of teaching and learning of the arts in the initial years of elementary education, in a construction of students' identities, taking into account the visualities present in their lives and leading them to perceive the importance of understanding the different ways of living and expressing, enabling communication and respect relationships in an intercultural experience, in this sense the teacher is fundamental. The experience of embroidery workshops made it possible to perceive the teaching of the visual arts as a space for intercultural education.
