Resumo: The solid waste issue in Brazilians supply centers of horticultural goods does not involve only the environmental aspects, but also the economic and social ones. One of the measures that could reduce the solid waste generation is Cleaner Production methodology. Such methodology is an interesting tool which, together with the Solid Waste National Policy, can be used to analyze the process of the supply centers pointing out improvement proposals. Therefore, this study aims to develop proposals for adequacy of CEASAMinas Uberlândia processes based on an adaptation of the Cleaner Production methodology, seeking to reduce solid waste generation. This study was conducted through institutional and operational information CEASAMinas Uberlândia; social-environmental characterization of the organization; proposition of adjustments at Cleaner Production methodology, and finally, suggestion of adaptation measures to CEASAMinas Uberlândia processes. All these steps involved the documental analysis of physical and digital files and websites; interviews and questionnaires and also observation in loco of the processes and activities carried out at supply centers. As main results, this study identified the possible causes of waste generation, as well as its main negative impacts. In addition, the study also identified the engagement of CEASAMinas Uberlândia community with the environmental issues of the unit, especially when it comes to the solid waste issues. Finally, the study pointed out actions to adequate CEASA processes aiming sustainability with measures that could facilitate the minimization of organic solid waste generation at supply center of horticultural goods, and reduce the negative impacts caused by this problem.
