Resumo: | In the last decades, a bigger involvement of the society on environmental issues has taken place. Speeches in meetings and worldwide and local events have demonstrate a bigger concern about the relation between man and nature and are pointing out the challenges to this relationship become each time more sustainable. Together with this growing environmental necessity and concern, the technology appears as a strong ally, especially in the gathering of accurate data to help in tasks like environmental management and planning. With the technological development of satellite/sensors/images industry in terms of spectral, spatial, radiometric and temporal quality, the geotechnologies arise as useful tool in this environmental management and planning process. The digital images historic relative to the 1980 decade, facilitates the development of methodologies aiming to comprehend the temporal dynamics of the environment, aiding the human beings to make better decisions, which can mitigate the damage inflicted to the environment. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the phenological behavior of the Cerrado phytophysiognomy (Pirapitinga Ecological Station - Morada Nova de Minas/MG) using temporal series of NDVI and superficial temperature, determined from digital images obtained with the TM sensor of Landsat 5 satellite. Therefore, was performed a study by temporal series, analyzing intrinsic variables, such as tendency, seasonality, cointegration and prediction. The NDVI series prediction shown a standard error under 0,079 and this represents the generation of quality future information, about several Cerrado phytophysignomies that currently suffers from a quick process of degradation, therefore, being useful in processes like: recovering, handling and management of degraded areas, as well as information archiving in case of the extinction of a species of a phytophysignomy. |
