Resumo: | This dissertation presents a reflection on the chosen paths and possibilities of sustainability in the performance of the Group Theater, in the State of Minas Gerais, based on the analysis of the trajectory of Grupontapé and Trupe de Truões, theater groups founded and based in the city of Uberlândia, that currently present an organization that reflects in the maintaining and continuity of their artistic and formation work. The research is developed from the reflection of two main concepts that support the construction of this analysis: Group Theater and Sustainability. The main question debated is: what are the possibilities and strategies for maintaining and continuity of the Group Theater in Uberlândia? For this, the main challenges and choices were outlined along the trajectory of Grupontapé and Trupe de Truões, based on semi-structured interviews with some members of both groups. In addition to the experiences of the respective groups, the research presents discussions that cross issues about the development of policies for the cultural field and how they influenced and still influence the way of management and maintaining in the analyzed cases. Based on the reflection on culture, Cultural Policies and their implications, the relation between these concepts and the Grupontapé and Trupe de Truões stands out, allowing a more comprehensive analysis regarding the sustainability of Group Theater in the interior of Brazil. The importance of consolidating more efficient maintaining instruments and the establishing of a dialogue with the market, promotion laws and alternatives that enable the continuity and legitimation of these collectives, becomes a conclusive element in this research. It is expected that, by sharing these experiences, the research may contribute to the formation of groups that are still discovering possibilities for maintaining and sustainability of their work. |
