Resumo: This research was developed in the Graduate Program in Technologies, Communication and Education at the Federal University of Uberlandia - UFU and started from the following question: what are the alternative methodologies for teaching Mathematics to children aged 04 and 05 years in preschool? Given the established question, this research has the general objective: To identify, analyze and describe the alternative methodologies for teaching Mathematics to children aged 04 and 05 in preschool. In order to answer the formulated research question and reach the outlined objectives, the study was developed in a qualitative approach and the bibliographical research was adopted with the intention of involving researches of different authors for the construction of this study and documentary for analysis of the main laws and documents that normalize and guide Early Childhood Education. The bibliographic research will provide considerable data for the theoretical foundation of this investigation and will occur according to the references of the following authors: Lorenzato (2006), Kishimoto (2009), Dante (2000), Marcondes and Silva (2019), among others. The study carried out showed the importance of working with mathematical content from Early Childhood Education and that the alternative methodologies presented for teaching Mathematics, contribute to a pedagogical practice based on the stimulation and participation of the child as the protagonist of their learning.
