Resumo: The present dissertation consists of a sharing of the research to compose an own look on the use of the game in the theater. Through the process of creating the play “E D G A R”, we seek to understand the functions of the game and its applications to the scene, understanding how it can support, lead and induce scenic creation. In this creative process, I count on the collaboration of the HEX - Produções group, Brazilian artists who live in the city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. In this work, we try to limit the number of participants in each game, so we have one, two or three players composing each scene. Limiting the number of participants, allows investigating and reflecting on the use of the game as a catalyst resource for the creative process, pointing to a new way of using time, in addition to reflecting on individual issues of each actor. Also used are tales and poems by Edgar Allan Poe, translated and adapted by the group, which act as triggers for the process. After experimentation, the materials were compiled in a theatrical show based on the overlapping of the results. The show had its debut on November 2, 2019 under the name “E D G A R”, which was part of the schedule for the first Independent Circuit of the Uberlândia Theater (CITU).
