Resumo: The knowledge of the physiology and morphology of Fabaceae tissues, as well as seed classifications regarding the predominance of the compounds, allows us to infer which species may present difficulties in germinating. In order to demonstrate the distribution of reserves, 21 species were tested for the presence or absence of starch, lipids, lignin, pectin, phenolic compounds and proteins. The centesimal analyzes were evaluated by grouping by the Euclidean Distance Method (UPGMA), Principal Components (PCA) and Tocher. It stands out the Acacia embryo pollyphyla that presented all the compounds except phenolic compounds. This compound was absent in the cotyledons of Acassia polyphylla and Apuleia leicoarpa. The starch was restricted to the cotyledons. For lipids, we found presence in cotyledons with variation among species. For proteins, we found a massive presence in the cotyledons, except for Mimosa scabrella, Pterogyne nitens, Senna multijuga. The same behavior was observed for the lipids, being negative only for Schyzolobium parahyba. Comparing the clusters it was concluded that the centesimal results indicated the formation of five groups for proteins and ethereal extract and six for carbohydrates. Proteins, phenolic compounds, lipids, and pectins prevailed in seed cotyledons.
