Resumo: | The purpose of this present dissertation is to show the creative artistic process of the Lorem animalium art, with the established reflections between the work of art and its place. Its development took place amidst practice and theory, with three guiding categories: Art and City; Art and Biology; Art and Media. The masterpiece was named this way because of the new animal group discovered by the fictional National Institute of Research and Protection of Rare Organisms – INPPOR, which includes the new species of Lorem which has been appearing in the urban area of Uberlândia-MG. Initially, the work had a more procedural style and from the research, it got stronger and raised important questions which were discussed through the text, such as: the place of art, inside and outside museums; urban relations, visual pollution of the city and advertising tools to catch people’s attention by images; the use of printed media in those places; the truthfulness, artistic and scientific fable; legitimate properties that science has and the ones that photograph carries; language and visual structure of institutional websites; virtual dissemination of fake news; the distortion of reality and fulfillment of fantasy. |
