Resumo: The evaluation of physiologic quality is an important component for the production of grain. Thus, the present study was planned and conducted in order to test and identify possible methodologies for assessing the effect of genotypes from the germplasm bank of the Federal University of Uberlândia and also check the upper material and the physiological quality. The experiment was conducted at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) - Campus Umuarama in Lasem Seed Analysis Laboratory and green house. Lots of seeds were sampled and subjected to the following determinations: seedling vigor, seedling emergence in sand substrate, sand emergence speed, peroxidase test, mechanical damage and accelerated aging. The design was a randomized complete block. Means were compared by Tukey method (P <0.05), tested the homogeneity and normality through Levene and Shapiro-Wilk test, except for the peroxidase test, which evaluated the reaction or not genotypes. Among the cultivars from the germplasm bank of the UFU emergency methodologies of sand substrate in seedlings, mechanical damage by the test of sodium hypochlorite and seedling vigor were able to differentiate the physiological quality of cultivars.
