Resumo: | This dissertation discusses the context of teacher education in the distance courses of pedagogy in a public and at a private university, having as basis, the analysis carried out in the pedagogical project of the respective course of each institution. To fulfill this purpose, this research tried to identify, describe and analyze the proposal of education, presented by these universities, with the aim of preparing teachers for children education in the initial grades in the Fundamental Level in the courses of pedagogy, within the framework of distance education. In addition, this work proposed to investigate whether there exist similarities and differences between both proposals of education and whether they allow to reach the profile of the ex-student, registered in the pedagogical projects and in the National Curricular Directions for the course of Pedagogy. In the contemporary scene, in which society is marked especially by the changes and transformations in different aspects and spaces of society of the everyday life, mainly, due to the speed in which information is conveyed and to the possibility of distance interaction among humans through the Internet, distance education plays an important role, making available extraordinary resources. This work used the qualitative approach associated with bibliographic research to establish the theoretical foundation of distance education in Brazil and of the course of Pedagogy. Afterwards, the documentary research concentrated upon laws, decrees, norms and other official literature. For the assessment of the data, presented in the pedagogical projects and distance courses of Pedagogy, pointed out similarities and differences among the proposals of both institutions in regard to ex-student, curriculum, educational resources and activities in present and distance education. In addition, the results pointed out aspects in the courses which are aligned with the National Curricular Directions for the course of Pedagogy for those are not. |
