Resumo: This master's thesis entitled "Paths and deviations of agrarian reform in the Triângulo Mineiro: The search for autonomy and food sovereignty in the Celso Lúcio Moreira da Silva / Carinhosa settlement project", has as its main objective to discuss the deviations of agrarian reform policy in Brazil and its implications for the lives of the families of the MLST - Movement for the Liberation of the Landless who occupy the area of the Celso Lúcio Moreira da Silva settlement project, formerly known as Fazenda Carinhosa located in the municipality of Uberlândia, state of Minas Gerais. The project's problem stems from the understanding that there is a dismantling in the current agrarian reform policy, which has weakened peasant agriculture, compromising the autonomy of the settlements and food sovereignty. The main objective of this dissertation is to understand how this agrarian reform dismantling policy has affected the autonomy of the families of the Settlement Project (PA) Celso Lúcio Moreira da Silva/Carinhosa. As methodological procedures, a bibliographic review on agrarian reform, food sovereignty and cooperativism was used. Basic agrarian reform data (occupations, settlements, agrarian structure, etc.) were also collected and analyzed, based on INCRA and the DATALUTA and CPT database, field surveys and interviews were carried out by Whatsapp due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, it was realized that the current impasses such as Decree 9,311/2018, which requires the carrying out of a selective process for the Land Use Contract, have hindered the access of families to land and public policies, but has led to the creation of cooperatives, associations and alternative networks for the sale of food and income generation for families.
