Resumo: | Since 1990, the State social role and the development of public policies gain new configuration by introducing in the Brazilian socio-political and educational context the so called Third Sector Organizations, that is, the non-profiting organizations, which arise as a model of social regulation to replace the classic role of the limited State. However, since the 1950s, the LGW - Legion of Good Will, whose essence lies in the equation \"love, truth, work and justice\" for the realization of the social and the educational work that it proposes, has filled this gap, playing a key role in the social sphere of the country. Thus, the present study, which has been designed and grounded in the field of Work, Society and Education , has the purpose to discuss the emergence of the Third Sector Organizations, emphasizing the work of the LGW in the city of Montes Claros, northern Minas Gerais, as well as the management processes and the interventions of social and educational activities developed by this organization in the context of labor relations, education and citizenship. To understand the context that frames the Community Center for Social Assistance, we understand the need to revisit the historical trajectory of social assistance in Brazil, its relation to the economic and political fields of the country and, at the same time, understand their movement and the role played by the civil society. In this way, the focus of this study, given the purpose which have been proposed, are the formative practices that have been recommended and tested at the LGW, a characterized frame of reference in the Historical-Critical Pedagogy, in order that we may explore more deeply the categories \"work\" education \"and\" citizenship\". Our intention is to find out the existence of associations / relationships within the variables and to determine the nature of the practical procedure of the LGW in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, in the perspective of authors such as Mészáros (2008), Durkheim (2011), Brandão (2013), Marx (1988), Saviani (2013), Frigotto (2009), Antunes (2005), Cerquier-Manzini (2013), Marshall (1967) and Bitar (2004) as compared with the elaborations of the LGW CEO, José de Paiva Netto, in looking for evidence, in this way, of forms of cooperation of the State with the civil society. As a methodological method, we have adopted the dialectical analysis, ensuring to observe the structures of micro connections to the institutional entirety constantly changing, supported by bibliographical studies and documentary analysis in Finally, the results of this study indicate the need to rethink a new pedagogy in the fluid context of present day and the training of social educators, since in analyzing the LGW institution we have perceived, as a society and academia, subjects that although active on the social scene, have some misunderstanding or are even simple-minded about the action and the socio-educational intervention of the LGW. |
