This work seeks to contribute to the writing of the history of education in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. It seeks to discuss about the analysis of regional press - particularly the Daily Newspaper News (Diario de Noticias), the representations constructed around the women that space in the years 1930 and 1940. By reading the Daily News (Diario de Noticias), we believe it is possible to reconstruct the thoughts that regulate the printed ordering mainly the women s education. By reading the sources produced by the interior of scholars, we seek to understand which were the favorite themes around the feminine universe, as well as the issues considered relevant by public men of those times in relation of the education of the women.
