Resumo: | This thesis is the result of an investigation conducted by the geography Graduate Program, of the federal University of Uberlândia, Geography Institute, in the research line Analysis, Planning And management of rural an urban space. It mainly aimed to study the peasants in Brejinho, agrarian reform settlement, located in the northern region of Brazil, in the state of Tocantins, significally in the city of Miracema, considering the heterogeneity of their practices on the conquered land. To understand the peasants territorialities in the setters education, the research took the following categories: geographical, place, territory and landscape as important fundamentals, from the contributions of authors from the area: Tuan, Claval, Corrêa and Rosendhal, Carlos, Haesbaert, Martins, Saquet. It is based study approach based on a cultural field research held with the residents of the Brejinho Settlement, using the questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with settled families and the school community within the Municipal School Boanerges Moreira de Paula, that exists in the Settlement. The Brejinho Settlement is a contradictory site and we noticed that there, it can be found at least two different logics: the one from the State-Nation, as manifested in the settlement as palliative public policy, of homogenous feature and the one from the peasants, who are turning this State lócus in their arum place and territory instituting plural relationships with the land, the nature and the men. The school for its historical and cultural value and its status as public right has occupied a prossiment place in the territorialization process of the peasants in the conquered land. This required from the peasants, several discussions and confrontations of new situations for themselves. The analysis from the information, allured to understand that peasants at Brejinho Settlement, have live important processes of change. Some of them can be seen in spot landscape, transformed and being transformed by the political action to institute a land conflict with latifundia and turn it in a peasant territory, not as an eternal condition, but as a result of a set of actions of the peasant at Brejinho weren t restriction to the defense of mere survival of the family group, from the production of food, but rather went further, be cause the experience of producing the existence of their confrontation with the typical needs for reproduction of the peasant life in other spheres, such as religiosity manifested in a place with and without official control. |
