Resumo: | This qualitative study presents an analysis of the place of the Health Cross-cutting Theme in the initial formation of the Biology and Mathematics teacher. The objective of this research was to understand if the Health Cross-cutting Theme has been worked on the graduation of biologists and mathematicians and present an educational product with the Health theme incorporating subjects worked in Mathematics and Biology. From the reflections generated, throughout the development of the research, the educational product Education Project: Transversality, Mathematics and Health was developed, to be developed in teaching laboratory or in the basic education classrooms, in order to assist the work in both initial and continuing teacher training, pointing suggestions for working with the theme. The teaching proposal suggests as a suitable place for learning, the teaching laboratories or even in the basic education classrooms. The proposal was based on the methodology of Project Based Learning (PBL). The research was based on authors who discuss ideas about transversality and teacher graduation, also considering official documents about the graduation of teachers and a review of literature in the thesis bank of CAPES. For the data collection, the questionnaire was chosen as the methodological instrument, whose subjects were the students of the Mathematics and Biology participants of the PIBID subprojects (2014 to 2017), campus Pontal of the UFU in the Ituiutaba-MG. For the data analysis, the software NVIVO 11 was used, which aided the search by categories (nodes). The research evidenced that there is a problem in the graduation of Mathematics and Biology teachers, about the Health Cross-cutting Theme, and the students recognize its importance. It was verified that there are few materials that present a proposal about this subject and that the PIBID presents itself as a good space for this theme to be applied. It is hoped that this work will understand the need to insert discussions about the Health Crosscutting Theme, both in the graduation of teachers and in the teaching practice in the context of basic education. |
