The present work analyzes the theatrical text Dois perdidos numa noite suja (Two Lost in a Dirty Night), written in 1966 by playwright Plínio Marcos, seeking to understand its history, the process of its creation, the plot, its characters, language, the themes raised in the work, relating all these aspects with the political, cultural and social historical moment in which the play was produced. For this, I reflect on the time when Plínio Marcos wrote his work, its history, the experiences and life experiences in different areas, covering your contacts and interaction with various social groups, his theatrical training, the groups frequented by him that influenced his production and the relationship of the author with the censorship and military dictatorship.
