Estudo das estratégias de enfrentamento para diminuição da fissura e cessação do uso de cocaína/crack: pré, durante e pós tratamento

Resumo: Introduction: In Brazil, although cocaine use presents much smaller percentages than in many other countries, can not neglect this phenomenon, which in recent years seems to grow. The high power of depend of this drug abstinence difficult. The learning cope strategies with stressful situations help cessation because it increases motivation and encourages with other forms of pleasure to the individual. Objectives: The aim of this study is what takes the individual to use cocaine and crack (triggers) and researching the cope strategies to decrease craving and cessation of consumption in the pre-treatment, during and after treatment. Method: We interviewed 57 addicts users of crack and cocaine, through a semi-structured questionnaire, in units of outpatient treatment and hospitalization. Results and Discussion: Many triggers have been identified, in other words, which leads the individual user dependent on cocaine or crack use such substances. Coping strategies used in each group to deal with cravings had particularities among to the three groups studied. Thus, among those in pre-treatment group, were the most common treatment (medication, psychotherapy and mutual aid groups) try to control and do nothing or can not cope with cravings. Those in treatment group reported thinking about the family, practicing religion, prayer and do nothing or can not cope with cravings. Those in after treatment group, occupation along with going to church, pray and avoid people with whom they went. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is no single effective strategy for all users, ranging from use for a particular phase in which the interviewee was, but the after treatment group reported more strategies than the other groups.
