Percepção de pessoas com deficiência visual e baixa visão acerca dos apoios, emprego apoiado e tecnologia assistiva, necessários para sua inclusão no trabalho

Resumo: | Objective: To verify through academic reflection which are the support needed to remove barriers for people with visual impairment and low vision in the labor market. Therefore, the discussions also focus on the professional strategies and methodologies that enhance the access of people with disabilities to employment adding quality to the work and ensuring their stay in office more efficiently. Methods: In order to collect information used in this study it was developed a questionnaire which was divided into two parts: I - Personal Data and II - Questionnaires. The questionnaire was designed virtually in Forms environment titled "Support the Employment for people with visual impairment and low vision - Google Forms." They were invited to participate in the study 232 patients with visual impairment and low vision, belonging to a list of the researcher's network of relationships. Only, thirty questionnaires received were considered valid. Results: After the analysis of the responses received it was noted that for most people with low and impaired vision the use of technology and the Supported Employment methodology are configured in good practices with a view to entering the labor market and allow these professionals develop their work with greater autonomy and competence. Conclusions: It is necessary to disclose the Employment Supported Methodology for society in general, focused mainly on companies that must meet the provisions of the Quotas Act and insert in your professional people with disabilities. Furthermore, it is necessary to train professionals who will act as the Supported Employment consultants and people with disabilities who are directed to the job openings available. And perform timely follow-up of people with disabilities employed in order to minimize problems, reduce barriers and develop strategies to ensure the permanence of these professionals in the occupied positions. |
