Resumo: | The Official, Government-Issued Coursebook Supplied To Teachers And Students Of Public Schools In The State Of São Paulo Is Called Caderno Do Aluno. They Are Brochures Separated Into Two Volumes Per Year, Each Volume Is Expected To Be Used In One School Semester. These Two Volumes, Which Comprise The Official Syllabus Of The State, Hold Contents To Be Developed During The Term, As Well As Activities Which Aim At Developing Competences And Abilities Pertinent To Each Phase Of The Teaching-Learning Process. Taking The Caderno Do Aluno Of English As Object Of Study, This Research Wants To Analyse Its Multimodal Aspects In Order To Describe The Relationship Between Verbal Text And Visual Text That Is Present In It, And How They Construe Meaning. It Is Also Our Objective To Verify Whether The Coursebook Prompts Multiliteracies In The Classroom, Bearing In Mind That The Coursebook Should Be A Source Not Only Of Reading Material Of Verbal Text, But Also Of Visual Text, Serving As A Tool For Teaching-Learning And Dev |
