Resumo: | This Study Attempts To Read The Work Of The Artist Pola Weiss (1947-1990) Through Her Conversations With The Mexican Arts, Cinema And Culture. At The Same Time, This Work Also Aims To Think The Neocolonialists And Iconoclasts Discourses Upon Both Image And Body, That Favor Exclusion/Inclusion Processes On Latin American Women Artists. A Research Was Done At The Artist"S Fund In Mexico City. I Have Also Made A Critical Analysis Of Some Videotapes And An Artistic Performance By Weiss. Gender, Melodrama, Irony, High And Low, Colonialism, Body, Etc., Were The Foundations Of My Analysis " Conceptual Issues That Were Built Though The Immersion On Weiss"S Body Of Work I Subjected Myself To. A New "Situation" Where Mexican Audiovisual History Realizes Itself On Its Internal Dialog Is Strengthened, Avoiding Considerations That Put It Subordinated To The Similar Formal Manifestations. Latin America"S New History Of Art Is Centered On The Notions That The Very Artists Elaborate On Specific Creative Situations. |
