Desenvolvimento e avaliação de um sistema web para treinamento das habilidades auditivas em pacientes adultos e idosos usuários de aparelho de amplificação sonora individual

Resumo: | Adults and elderly hearing aid users often suffer psychosocial reactions as a result of hearing loss and to minimize these reactions there is need for auditory rehabilitation. The goal was develop and evaluate a web system for auditory training adult / elderly of user hearing aids. Were selected subjects with hearing loss mild to severe, hearing aid users, aged 15-89, who had a computer at home and experience in surfing the internet The sample was divided control and experimental group, differentiating them in the system usability, and spontaneous demand web group, totaling 57 subjects. The system was built in PHP programming, MySQL database and consists of the module information based on guidelines for the use of hearing aids; and auditory training module based on axes of listening skills: attention, discrimination, recognition, understanding and auditory memory. The Hearing Handicap Inventory questionnaires were completed for the elderley (HHIE) Hearing Handicap Inventory for the Adult (HHIA) and complaints of hearing before and after access. It was found that the experimental group showed a significant reduction between the before and after for all variables of HHIE questionnaires / HHIA and improvement of up to 51% compared to hearing complaints. 90% of users rated as positive impact auditory training. It is concluded that the subjects who took the auditory training showed improvement in trained auditory skills, significant decrease in restriction of participation in social and emotional aspects caused by hearing loss and adherence to the use of hearing aids. |
