Resumo: | This dissertation looks at the structure of the network for dealing with violence against women in the municipality of Frederico Westphalen/RS (FW) and the possibilities for articulating it with UFSM's Gender Equality Policy. The study aims to contribute to new proposals for dealing with and combating situations of gender-based violence against women in the university context. In this sense, the research problem is: How is the network for dealing with violence against women structured in the municipality of FW and what are the possibilities for articulating it with UFSM's Gender Equality Policy? The general objective is to analyze the structure of the network for dealing with violence against women in the municipality of FW, as well as the possibilities for articulating the UFSM Gender Equality Policy, with a view to contributing to new proposals for dealing with and combating situations of gender-based violence against women. The specific objectives were to identify the care network and services for dealing with violence against women in FW; to identify and describe the social assistance and/or intersectoral coordination actions carried out, as well as the referrals given to women in situations of violence who come to the services; prepare information materials for society, publicizing the importance of the support network for women in situations of violence in the municipality and its articulation with UFSM's Gender Equality Policy; and prepare a training proposal for the operators of the network for combating violence against women in FW, through Casa Verônica. The methodological approach is field research, with a feminist, qualitative, descriptive and observational approach. Data was collected by means of semi-structured interviews with operators from eight institutions in Frederico Westphalen that assist women in situations of violence. The process of building knowledge in this research is committed to a feminist methodology, which necessarily aims to transform women's lives (BARTRA, 2012), which, in addition to a political stance, tries to identify expressions of patriarchal culture, gender inequality, oppression and/or exploitation of women in the coping network and possibilities for transforming this reality of invisibility and oppression. The results of the research suggest that the operators of the network have an understanding and sensitivity to the complexity of the phenomenon of violence against women and the importance of networked, articulated and humanized care, but they also recognize weaknesses in this network. Since this is a professional master's degree program and it was necessary to produce a product, and in view of the findings of the fieldwork, two complementary products were produced: an information folder on the Maria da Penha Law and with the contacts of the network services in FW and a page with this information to be inserted into the Casa Verônica website at UFSM. In addition, it was possible to draw up a flow of care for women in situations of violence in the municipality. |
