Resumo: The phenomenon of adolescence corresponds to a phase of deep psychological and biological changes that, combined, make adolescence a time of life full of turmoil and conflict. This study is based on data obtained from de Health Department of Santa Maria, RS, identify a spatial dependence of teenage pregnancy with data from pregnant women with live births, with the overall goal spatialize and quantify the areas of greatest incidence of teenage pregnancy in Santa Maria, RS. This is a descriptive, exploratory database of the Department of Information Technology of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). To obtain the data are considered notifications of teenage pregnancy reported in Information System Live Birth (SINASC) with the aim of building a database on live births in pregnant teenagers by the Unified Health System (SUS), which has national coverage, and the default document for data entry is the Statement of Live Birth (DNV), specifically in the town of Santa Maria, where the Ministry of Health provides information on births in the country, through the Information System. The birth data of pregnant teenagers are collected in full, but without using the names of users, getting the information made available by the system preserved ethically and with concern that each collected information represents an important, truthful and current within the municipality. This is an indicator that seeks to measure the force with which certain diseases exist in populations, allowing estimating and comparing, in time and space, as still prevails or whichever particular disease in a population. This information tool can effectively enhance the coefficients as infant mortality and the incidence of malnutrition in children and teenage mothers as shown in the Information System Live Birth (SINASC). The age used to fetch data is pregnant teenagers between 12 and 19 years of age in health facilities within the municipality, from 2010. To collect the data are analyzed the following variables: age, place of residence, number of visits of prenatal and education level, elaborating tables, charts and thematic maps using Arc View 10 software, punctuating health units and the percentage of occurrences of birth. This process allows evaluating the growth of the population of pregnant teenagers, in which they can support the process of action planning aimed mainly for maternal and child health, allowing also evaluate the effectiveness of control measures, prevention, treatment and education health. In conclusion, the survey can serve as a support for health workers and the development of appropriate practices in the health units.
