Resumo: | The comparison between room acoustics simulation software and experimental data allows us to analyze the potentialities and the accuracy of each implemented computational model. Thus, since 1994, the international intercomparisons between simulation programs, named Round Robin, began. The purpose of this research is to investigate the results from different algorithms in two spaces with different characteristics, in volume and architecture, comparing simulated and measured values in loco. For this purpose, the following software were used: RAIOS 7, RAVEN and ODEON (Version 11.23). All the software deals with geometrical acoustics (GA), however with particular applications. Four acoustic parameters, being them, the reverberation time, the early decay time, the clarity factor and the definition, are calculated for a certain amount of source-receptor pairs. The relative mean errors, to the just noticeable difference (JND), were also computed, as well as an analysis of the quadratic impulse responses provided for one of the rooms. Preliminary insights about the advantages and the limitations of every algorithm are also provided. |
