Resumo: | This work bases on the presupposition that to understand the environmental subject is necessary to recognize that the environmental goods of the planet are the suporting base for human beings and non humans and, therefore, they need to be treated as collective goods whose access should be a public and universal right. To face social and environmental conflicts in urban areas, in way to obtain sustainable in the use of the natural resources with environmental justice, it is necessary that the processes of administration of those conflicts are participative. In that context, the environmental education and the geoprocessing techniques point your usefulness. The objective of this work was to build and to dispose some information about the natural physical and built, legal and social aspects related to Arroio Cadena's social and environmental conflict and to accomplish a discussion about the possibilities of its use in education processes in the administration of the conflict. For that, geoprocessing techniques were used, especially the systems of geographical information, for the elaboration of thematic maps that, it is believed, will be of usefulness in the educational processes with the social groups affected by the social and environmental conflict, mainly in the moments of initial problematization and organization of the knowledge. The obtained maps were: Image Map of Arroio Cadena's Watershed, Social Actors involved in Arroio Cadena's Social and Environmental Conflict Map, Use Land Map in Arroio Cadena's Watershed, Areas with Legal Restrictions Map in Arroio Cadena's Watershed and Land Use Conflicts Map in Arroio Cadena's Watershed. Two encounters were accomplished to analyze the usefulness of the maps, one with riverine residents and other with academical. At the end of the works, it was concluded that the elaborated maps can be of great usefulness in education processes in the administration of social and environmental conflicts. The maps that were shown more appropriate for the initial moment, of problematization, were the Image Map, Social Actors involved Map, and the Land Use Conflicts Map. The Maps that indicated to be important for the moment of the organization of the knowledge were already the Use Land Map the Areas with Legal Restrictions Map and the Land Use Conflicts Map. It is recommended that the environmental educators choose critical and emancipated methods in the treatment of the social and environmental conflicts form to guarantee the democratization of the spaces of environmental administration and the participation of the social groups historically excluded of those processes. |
