Resumo: | The study treat of a language symptom, widely studied and very controversial: the stuttering in the child and its relation to parental discourse. It was considered that the common traits in the relationship between children and language, who are, in turn, organizers of their symptoms, are linked to the particularity of the experience of the Oedipus complex. In this sense, the objective of this study was to analyze the psychic aspects of children who stuttering and how are reflected in the interlocution with those who practice the parental functions. A qualitative methodology was used, based on content analysis. Participated of the study three children, of both genders, with aged of 2 to 8 years old, diagnosed with stuttering of Speech-Language Pathology Attendance Service (SAF) of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Also, participated of this research the parents of these children. For the data collection the instruments used were: a semi-structured interview with the parents, children's stories and puppets with the children, and for the interaction of the child with their parents, the toy little house. The data were analyzed, generalized in thematic categories that compared the psychic issues related to stuttering as well as the parental significance intended both for the child and the language symptom. The data pointed to the repetition of a parental organization in these children: the bond established between the mother-child was marked by a mutual dependence. Such dependence caused a difficulty that caused impasses in the separation process. In addition, the paternal function that serves as a condition for separation to be effective has also been problematized, weakened both by the maternal discourse and by the passivity of the paternal discourse. In the face of such family dynamics, the children made a symptom of language - the stuttering - in an attempt to seek a separation of maternal demand and a call to paternal function. It was then verified that the problematic is located at the entrance of the father who marks the second time of the Oedipus for Lacan. What was observed that to have occurred with these stuttering children, was the existence of a fragility in the paternal function due to the non-sustentation by the maternal discourse, because, front the tyranny of maternal desire, this one does not effectively intervene in the promotion of the law, appearing thus, the symptom manifesting in a disfluent speech. |
