The results show that knowledge of environmental issues in teaching and upper is very weak compared to similar work developed by Dra. Cleonir Martins Carpes in his PhD thesis, one can say with ab-solute certainty, that knowledge of environmental issues by students from private schools of higher education in Santa Maria, referring to the Renewable Natural Resources, is vastly inferior to knowledge of the same subject by students of public schools of primary and secondary education in the same municipality.
