Resumo: This investigation, carried out based on discussions in the Mirarte Research group, of the Postgraduate Program in Education, Education and Art Research line at the Federal University of Santa Maria, intends to move different pedagogical propositions in the teaching of Visual Arts having the universe of the series Stranger Things as a trigger. From the context of the series, the proposed proposals seek to encourage thinking about the educational experience based on images from the perspective of the Educational Perspective of Visual Culture. The proposals experienced in this research aim to encourage student protagonism, paying attention to the images that affect and disturb them, entangling them with contemporary art. Based on the series chosen as a trigger, moments called Learning Circumstances are developed here, aiming to expand students' knowledge by creating spaces for problematization driven by the methodological approach of Art-Based Research. Through an A/r/tographic perspective, this research aims to examine how the context of the Stranger Things series produces knowledge from experiments in the teaching of Visual Arts, considering the relationships that are established in live research. The crossings produced from the proposals shed some clues and raise aspects of investigative interest with regard to the creation of Learning Circumstances in the Teaching of Visual Arts in the context of Basic Education.
