Resumo: | This thesis seeks to analyze, through biographical accounts, the tactical uses of digital technologies by migrant Palestinian women and descendants residing in Brazil, specifically in Rio Grande do Sul. The axes of analysis that guide the observation of the tactical uses of technologies digital are four: migratory, political, gender, cultural/social/religious. The authors who support the theoretical-methodological approach are Leonor Arfuch (2010), to think about biographical accounts, and Michel de Certeau (1998), to reflect on the tactical uses of digital technologies. To understand the reports, we theoretically contextualize the Palestinian Question, the formation of Zionism, colonialism, cybercontrol and ethnic identities. Additionally, we address discussions about gender, migration and uses of digital technologies. The research is based on the reports of ten Palestinian women, whose narratives form the core of this work. Furthermore, an autobiographical perspective is brought in as a way of adding to the narratives. Research data collection included in-depth open and semi-structured interviews, observation, field diary, identification form, requested diary and collection of digital materiality. The reports presented highlight various tactics of micro-resistance, micro-freedoms and acting in the field of the “other”, through the appropriation of available resources and the creation of new possibilities to move in the context in which they live. The active, political and critical nature of the interlocutors indicates a destabilization of stereotypes related to Palestinians, especially with regard to the role of women within this community. |
