Resumo: The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the meanings given by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo and by Twitter users to the event Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the Pandemia, better known as "CPI da Covid" that took place from April 27th to October 26th. It is constituted of 65 articles from Folha de S.Paulo newspaper, which comprises a corpus that goes from the initial day of the installation to the most awaited testimony, by former minister Eduardo Pazuello, which took place on May 19 and 20, 2021; and 1113 tweets collected from the hashtag CPIdaCovid in the period from 10 am to 12 am on May 19. Both corpora underwent data processing via IRaMuTeQ software, in which dendrograms with stable word classes were generated in relation to their vocabulary. These pointed to the leading role of Senator Renan Calheiros, the Commission's rapporteur, in terms of the corpus of Folha de S.Paulo; and the prominence of affordances, in this case hashtags, in terms of the Twitter corpus. After this first phase of treatment, an argumentative analysis was carried out in Folha de S.Paulo, which confirmed the analysis of the software; and a traditional analysis of categorizations on Twitter, which proved the theory that hashtags are information aggregators. Contextually, the research discusses concepts such as Platform Society (VAN DIJCK, POELL, DE WAAL, 2018) that allows it to think of Twitter as a communication platform and also to discuss the changes in journalistic discourse in this scenario. Regarding the final results, in addition to what was previously indicated, it was also observed the phenomenon of judicialization of politics and the different meanings given to CPI: warlike on Folha de S.Paulo and circus on Twitter. Both results 1) contemplate the context of platforms, which not only mediate public discourse, but are actors who intervene in its constitution 2) are found in the theoretical proposal of the spectacle (DEBORD, 2003) when it is understood that, in addition of spectacular, the senses are speculative.
