The present work carried through frigorific in Rio Grande do Sul state , had for objective to evaluate the use and application of the floculante agent tanning bark in the water treatment as well as of the deriving water of the effluent treatment station making possible its reuse. The evaluated tecnology aims at to get improvement in the system of water management as a part of the environmental in slaughterhouses. For accomplishment of the ideal tanino s amount, the system Jar- test was used. Some tests in Jar test had been carried through, for determination of the decantation floculante agent concentration as well as: its dosage, the ideal time of flocculation characteristics, turbid (NTU), pH. Was gotten better resulted with the dosage of 60 ppm of floculante agent, for a minimum turbidez of 0.63 NTU. When using these data evaluated new parameters as hardness, fluorid, nitrate, nitrite,nitrogen,sulphate, aluminum, copper, iron magnesium and pH . Therefore with the application of the organic composition in study, it was improved optimism and improvement the treatment of water like that reducing the cost in 23 % an important tool of improvement in the management system of the company in the water treatment process.
