Resumo: | Faced with the growth of the construction industry in Brazil, discussions that were already happening internationally on the performance of buildings began to gain space in the country. The standard "ABNT NBR 15575 – Housing Buildings – Performance" came into force in 2013 after some reformulations. It presents an approach that requires certain behavior for housing constructions, with minimum requirements according to the demand of the users, in relation to the exposure conditions and not regarding the constructive technique adopted, allowing the use of new technologies. ABNT NBR 15575:2013 is divided into six parts referring to the elements that compose a building, the fourth being related to Vertical Sealing Systems, which this work is delimited. However, even six years of its publication, architects and engineers still find it difficult to apply the standard in their projects. So, in order to ease the use of part four of this regulation in housing projects, the present research adopts a qualitative methodology divided into three parts. The first part aims to compile the contents of already published manuals and guides in order to support the decisions of the designers so that the criteria and requirements of ABNT NBR 15575/4: 2013 are respected. The second part presents a case study of a building with a higher level of performance, being used as a tool to evaluate the type of information needed to verify compliance with the requirements for vertical sealing systems. Finally, in the last part a checklist is developed, gathering all the elements that must be present in the graphic design, descriptive memorial and attached documents to guarantee the application of the norm. Thus, this checklist contributed as a practical tool to be used in the day-today of the offices during the project development, focused on supporting documentation regarding the requirements of ABNT NBR 15575/4: 2013. |
