Resumo: |
The thesis discusses aspects of the Brazilian industry's constitution in the capitalist mode of production, highlighting the formation of the workforce. The main objective of the study is the analysis of the linkages between the production and the work, in relation to the qualification or disqualification of the labor practice, also discussing the legislation on professional education and the purposes of education in the capital scenario. The theoretical basis presents the history of Brazilian capitalist industry, the concepts of capital and labor, based on the empirical basis of food industry workers in the city of Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. The formation of the labor force and contracting relations contribute to the understanding of capitalist dynamics in the context of food manufacturing and reflects a contradictory role of professional qualification, which in turn forms part of a solidarity network that materializes in the space under The way of living and of circulation, immersed in socio-spatial and socioeconomic diversity in the perspective of capitalist activity. The workforce, seen as an appendage of the machine, establishes itself in daily life and accommodates itself in the face of the scarcity of employment or even the fear of manifesting itself. The worker, with a minimum income, is held accountable for the very low qualification that, contradictorily, can mean the possibility of being employed. Qualification can, at the same time, increase or reduce employability when it comes to wage increase / reduction linkages. With less years of schooling and low qualifications, the food industry worker remains in his post, without ascending to higher positions in the company and observing the maintenance of his salary range, even with increased productivity and added value. In order to base the analysis of the information collected in the field and the ideas in the writing of the thesis a theoretical deepening was made based on the studies of Antunes (2006, 2007 and 2010), Chesnais (1996), Harvey (vast work), Kuenzer (2003 and 2007), Marx (vast work), Mészáros (2002 and 2008), Moreira (2011, 2013 and 2016), Pochmann (2006 and 2007), Santos (2004 and 2008), among other important names in science. The theoretical treatment was associated with information collected in the electronic databases of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA), the Annual Social Information Relation (RAIS), the General Register of Employed and Unemployed ) And the Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (DIEESE). In addition, 290 questionnaires were sent to food industry workers, with semi-structured interviews with those responsible for the industries and with representatives of the category trade union. From the analysis it was evident that the lack of professional qualification is a mechanism used by the industries to hire cheap labor force and that the worker should only carry out the task for which he was hired, without any need for courses or the like . The worker, then, is seen as part of a cog, of capitalist mechanics. The workers of this industrial segment are, for the most part, born in Vitória da Conquista and live in the city itself. Contradictions analyzed in the light of Marxist-based theory depict the assumptions of the capitalist mode of production and frame the labor force as the primary victim of this system. |
