Resumo: In current times, Environmental Planning and Management, in a given community or municipality, help in studies about the main theories and concepts that refer to the understanding of the “environment”, as a legal institute, and its legal discourse of what is “environmental”, listing the importance of its conservation, and it is essential to discuss environmental issues, its theoretical conceptions, human relations with the environment and environmental crimes. In order to understand the legal relations of man with the environment, the understanding of the majority doctrine, Regulatory Law n. 9,605/1998, which was written in a very generic way, not being consistent with the main principles that guide socioenvironmental issues in the current times. In this sense, the guiding questions of this study are presented: What human acts are considered environmental crimes for society? How can you contribute to environmental awareness in relation to environmental crime? And, what punishments for environmental crimes, based on the judgments, have already been applied today? The present study aimed to analyze the discourse of the theory of environmental crimes as a perspective of environmental awareness. The research was descriptive and qualitative, based on the use of the bibliographic method, on the analysis and treatment of data, from the theory of content analysis, on the processes judged about "environmental crimes", in the last 10 years, in the Court Federal Regional of the 5th Region (comprising six northeastern states: Alagoas, Ceará, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe). The environment has been undergoing constant changes carried out by man himself and it is necessary to (re)think the paths to be taken for an environmental awareness by explaining about his responsibility in the face of environmental crimes today. Therefore, the State must be aware of the changes arising from social advances, in order to make relevant legislative adjustments as well as to develop educational projects that act based on environmental awareness, aiming to provide a better quality of life for human and non-human beings alike. today, preserving/conversing the existence of future generations.
