Resumo: |
Sergipe is a rapidly developing state that is among the fastest growing in the Northeast region. Since 1971, when Sergipe TV network was founded, followed by Atalaia, Aperipê and Canção Nova, in that order, other three TV networks that are still operational to this day, the broadcast television very quickly became one of the most popular means of communication among the regions´s population, being seen by the great majority of the local citizens on a daily basis. The fore mentioned TV networks play an important role in a society formed by individuals whose main means of access to information is the television. These companies have developed, were consolidated in the local economy, bringing data from job positions offer, income increase, business opportunities, professional qualification, technology improvement, among other things. Culture, knowledge and creativity are inherent ingredients of broadcast television, and so this segment, as well as the service sector in general, gained ascendancy in the second half of the last century, from new concepts that have emerged along with the knowledge society. But more than that, this market brings unique data that represents how well local TV networks are managed. As study object, this study sought to do an analysis on the management of public television companies located in Sergipe, through data obtained through interviews with professionals who work in these four firms, as well as former employees and knowledgeable and experts from local broadcast television market. Thus, it was possible to develop a representative picture of the companies belonging to this sector in Sergipe, made based on the confrontation between the variables studied in the research field as well as in reviewing materials. The research demonstrated a scenery of a fairly concentrated market, primarily with political and religious ramifications connected stations, still pointing average values of pay lower than the applied nationwide workforce, but with a high percentage of employed persons who have level training upper and expertise, among other elements investigated. |
