Resumo: |
As postmodern capitalism emerges with new technologies of information, communication and undeniable advances, it also brings with it serious contemporary social setbacks. Thus, the figure of the social entrepreneur is a viable alternative in the identification and coping with the imbalances resulting from this process. Through his identity work, playing a central role in the performance of his organizations, the social entrepreneur is motivated and understands himself, while managing obstacles and ambiguous demands inherent to his field of activity. This research aimed to understand how the identities of social entrepreneurs are articulated to develop resilient managers in the context characterized by adversities in the state of Sergipe. Thus, this study, in an embryonic way, deals with the theme Social Entrepreneurship (SE) from the perspective of personal, social and organizational identities. Methodologically, we have here a qualitative, exploratory and cross-sectional research. The Multiple Case Study was adopted as a research strategy and, as sources of evidence, we have: document analysis, field notes and semi-structured interviews. The data were treated using the Narrative Analysis method. With this study it was possible to detect that the inability of the market and its institutional voids in the formation of the social fabric provides the situation for the creation of social enterprises, which challenge the risks inherent in social activity due to the resilience found in social entrepreneurs. Identities, being part of a cognitive formation, have the ability to project the individual's way of acting and enable the emergence of new creative solutions, helping social entrepreneurs to overcome their individual conflict and developing in themselves the necessary resilience to remain with the enterprise in activity. As contributions of this study, it is possible to highlight the promotion of the discussion of the relationship between identities and the SE, the explanation of how and why social entrepreneurs persevere in their efforts and the provision of subsidies that help to understand the behavior of the social entrepreneur in situations creation and maintenance of social enterprises. |
