Resumo: This study aims to highlight the relevance of using instruments in the citizenship exercise, thus contributing to the practice of inclusion in educational environments encouraging employees to approach resources that promote autonomy in the access, permanence and success of people with specific needs (PWSN), a term that encompasses people with disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disorder, High Skills, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Temporary or Intermittent Impairment at the Federal Institute of Sergipe. Thus, the aim of this research is to investigate the perception of employees of the Lagarto Campus Library related to the use of Assistive Technology in promoting accessibility. Therefore, this research is a case study, which involves the collaborators participation of the Lagarto Campus Library, due to their contact with the AT resources available in this library. The approach carried out in this work has a qualitative character understood as interpretative, where analytical procedures are adopted concomitantly with the development of the research, and a semi-structured interview has been used as a data collection instrument to understand the employees perception of the AT resources available, besides to bibliographic research in BRAPCI, FEBAB and BDTD databases, and in addition to Legislation related to AT and NAPNE. For the analysis of the collected data, Bardin's perspective and three stages of content analysis were adopted, consisting of: pre-analysis, exploration on the material and interpretation. As a proposal for intervention and elaboration of the technical product after the analysis of the collected data, it was possible to create a Booklet entitled: Assistive Technology for access to information, whose application counted on the participation of the same employees interviewed from the Lagarto Campus Library, also with validation of the technical product for the application of possible improvements. Through this study, it is possible to infer that employees have superficial knowledge about Assistive Technology, which impairs the potential of the resources available to promote accessibility at the Lagarto Campus Library. On the other hand, their interest in deepening their knowledge related to accessibility and Assistive Technology is notorious to collaborate with the reception of people with specific needs. Thus, it is possible to conclude that the product resulting from this research will contribute to the training of professionals and with the improvement in service, making them more confident and secure in providing an inclusive service with quality.
