Resumo: Being the science generally replete with examples associated with the breaking of paradigms, and in particular as regards the independence of the genre for the production of knowledge, we propose in this paper highlight scientific contributions and develop a didactic sequence with products based on observations of variables Cefeídas. We will use the method of analysis of light set against the procedures used by Henrietta Leavitt in the 20th century, but with modernized procedures. As a product of our investigation we will develop materials and didactic sequences that explore the concepts about oscillations, waves and optics studied in high school, and can also be applied in the last year of elementary school. The materials can be used independently, such as the simulator box of stellar field, which runs practical simulations feature sky observations in situations that we couldn't promote observations with students. The interactive spreadsheet that illustrated especially the concepts of time and frequency required for understanding of the period-Luminosity diagram with which Leavitt revolutionized the Astrophysics. To help teachers produce several tutorial videos that help in the reproduction of our activities or for the development of its own materials. With these features can explain the concept of photometry and variables that can be measured through the incident light on a detector, in addition to exploring the concepts of optic, optical instruments and measurement of light streams in maps.
