Resumo: This dissertation has as subject/object of study the women who "put up stalls" in the fair of Euclides da Cunha / BA, starting from the understanding that women and men produce different territories and places and, Therefore it is essential to investigate from the perspective of gender. To analyze the practices and knowledge of women marketers, we seek to apprehend their experiences as women and marketers, their ties with the products of their stalls and reflect on their territorialities, having with geographic, cultural, political and economic context: the backlands. The research is of a qualitative approach, operationalized by the perception, methodological path we choose to unravel how we see others and ourselves, aware that it was the bodily senses that we apprehended, the “outsiders” and the “insiders”, the lived world of market women. Euclides da Cunha's fair has been, since the beginning of its foundation, important element in its formation, and revealing the regional culture. Moreover, it is characterized as a place in which relationships of friendship, solidarity and companionship are woven. It is, therefore, by the "put up tent" that women marketers weave their existence and, in this "come and go" from their localities to the fair, materialities and immaterialities are forged revealed in their practices and sabers.
