Resumo: |
This dissertation has as locus of investigation the university publishing house, which houses the Digital Bookstore of the Editora da Universidade Federal de SergipeUFS, which produces and disseminates the results of scientific research of a higher education institution. Although the UFS Bookstore makes its digital books available for free, the platform used makes it difficult for users to follow the flow and download the book, which may compromise the access to the bookstore and its content and generate a negative experience for users. Given this context, the research problem was: how to improve the acquisition of books from the digital bookstore of Editora UFS by applying the concepts of user experience and information architecture? Thus, the general objective of the study was To promote the improvement of book acquisition and the user experience of the Digital Bookstore at Editora UFS, through the development of a new graphic interface, based on concepts from the fields of Design and Information Science.e. Specific goals are: a) to identify the users' perception regarding the Editora UFS Digital Bookstore; b) to perform a study of similar sites equivalent to the Editora UFS Digital Bookstore; c) to elaborate screens related to the new purchase flow of books in the Editora UFS Digital Bookstore; d) to create a high-fidelity prototype with application of the new flow in the screens for the Editora UFS Digital Bookstore site. To this end, exploratory-descriptive research was conducted, of the case study type, with a quali-quantitative approach. We used questionnaires with members of the UFS university community and also conducted an interview. The project was approved by the UFS Ethics Committee for Human Research. At the end, a technical-conclusive report was prepared, comprising the entire development of the design proposal for the bookstore website of Editora UFS, based on Nielsen's heuristics and User Experience. |
