Resumo: |
This Thesis focuses on discussions about gender relations based on categories of analysis such as: Education; Class; Gender and Work. In this context, the research aims to analyze gender relations, focusing on the specificity of women as providers of the workforce in the family, in political militancy and with settlements as a space for social transformation. We therefore postulate that social relations within the scope of work in agriculture are historically structured by patriarchal elements with a strong sexual division of labor, thus hindering the equal participation of women in activities that are almost entirely intended for men. Therefore, with regard to the theoretical-methodological approach applied to the research, it was based on the assumptions of dialectical historical materialism, on feminist and gender theories, in the search to understand the subjectivity of women. In this conception, the particular and the universal are, in a logical language, subordinate spheres that do not oppose each other, but are diverse, in a proposition or argument formulation. As for the purposes, the research had an exploratorydescriptive character and as for the means, it was a field research, where we essentially used semi-structured interviews carried out together with settled women, research subjects, and with the support of the literature review and other pertinent data. for data analysis and interpretation. In the interviews, the meanings are explored and, from the speech of each subject, focusing on the elements referring to the analytical categories and the object of study as a whole. Therefore, we can say that women have achieved significant advances and some historic achievements such as no longer being submissive to male power, having the right to greater space and visibility in their work, even though discriminatory attitudes still exist in Brazil. Therefore, gender relations, which are part of these women's daily lives, are intrinsically correlated with financial, educational, social, cultural and even political conjunctions. Finally, it was from the development of this research that we were able to perceive the importance of recovering and preserving the protagonism and the multiple faces of feminism in the countryside from the gender relations within the rural settlements of agrarian reform in the municipality of LagartoSe. |
